I walk a lot here in New York City. Most of us who live and work here do. We easily clock in 2 to 3 miles without giving it any thought. In the process we can be bombarded with images and sensations, that we either become numb to or subliminally absorb.
Recently I’ve been taking note of the signs that populate the city’s sidewalks. They’ve lasted over time, even with the dawn of electronic and digital signage, these easels of creative messaging live on.
The more I’ve begun to pay attention, the more I see them as creative works of art. I decided to start photographing them, thus beginning an unintentional series … Show Me a Sign!
Here are some of my favs. Hope you enjoy!

PS: Next time I’ll be sharing more written, painted, scribbled, and graffitied works of art in other forms, so be sure to stay tuned.
