Ciao a Tutti!
This week I'll be celebrating my birthday. Yay me! I'm looking forward to spending time with my family, in nature, surrounded by love, great food (bringing to life Mom's & Grandma's bbq recipes) and marathon nights of dominoes & rummy tiles.
I can't wait!! In Italian we say 'non vedo l'ora!'
For me, my birthday (mio compleanno) is a time to take stock of how the year is going. Am I sticking to promises I made to myself at the new year? Has anything new popped up that I need to revamp? What's working? What's not working? Am I attracting what I set out to attract in 2016?
One of my favorite tools to use, in order to attract my dreams, is to keep a daily gratitude (gratitudine) journal. I find that the more grateful I am, the more things show up for me to be grateful for. I normally write a minimum of 10 things.
For my birthday I up the ante and go for 100! It's one of my birthday gifts from me to me. No pressure. No right or wrong. Just what feels good. I'm gonna get personal on you now and give you a few that may find their way onto this year's list:
* Mom and Dad - for giving me life
* All of my ancestors - for giving me Mom & Dad
* My breath
* My eyesight
* Family & Friends
* New York City - my home that celebrates diversity
* Firenze - my other home that celebrates La Dolce Vita
* Sun, Rain, Sky, Snow
* Ocean/Swimming
* Creativity
* My camera, iPhone, laptop that give me the opportunity to share my vision
* Laughter & Tears
* Coffee, Water, Prosecco, Vodka - not necessarily in this order
* Kissing
* Money - yes! Contrary to what we are sometimes taught to believe, it's ok to welcome & celebrate money into our lives. We are meant to live abundant lives on every level.
* Lastly, I am truly grateful for all of you who take the time to read my blog. I know there's a lot of stuff out there and I appreciate your visiting with me each week. Grazie Mille!
So there you have it, a little private peak into something that I hold dear.
Whether it's your birthday or not, I invite you to give this a try. I can honestly say that this practice has created shifts in me that have brought me courage, clarity, insight and adventure. I hope it does the same for you.
Big Love & Buon Weekend, PatriciaG
